RJF Equine, Inc. is born of the idea that all people should have the opportunity to connect with a horse, and those bold enough to step in the pen with a wild horse should have that chance.
We specialize in BLM Mustangs & burros, forestry Mustangs, and all things wild. Our focus is to help saved living legends and work to help them to adjust to domestic life - whenever possible. We do this in a variety of ways through gentling, training, and physical rehab. When gentling and/or training are not an option , we provide an interim sanctuary setting untill a long term plan can be arranged , so that horses in need still have a safe space to live out their lives in as close to their natural way of life as possible. We work closely with other organizations that can provide lifelong care for those needing alternatives to domestic life .
Our farm is a non-traditional “ranch" where the horses are tools. Instead, they ARE our purpose. We thrive on the non-verbal communication that these horses teach us. And from a training perspective , We are open to trying whatever works using gentle hands and loving hearts.
We are not a fancy show barn, we are a working family that cares about our horses. In our work with people, we are flexible and try to accommodate the special needs of all clients from the weekend warrior to the experienced equestrian who's up to learning something new. We value High risk youth, groups, or private families and welcomed them on a case by case basis as they will learn the concepts of hard work and compassion. Their self esteem will improve and they will be beaming with pride.
Nothing is more humbling than being in the presence of a horse especially one who comes to us with broken bodies and broken hearts.
