RJF Equine, Inc. is born of the idea that all people should have the opportunity to connect with a horse, and those bold enough to step in the pen with a wild horse should have that chance.
We specialize in BLM Mustangs & burros, forestry Mustangs, and all things wild. Our focus is to save these living legends and help them to adjust to domestic life - whenever possible. We do this in a variety of ways through gentling, training, and rehab. When gentling and/or training are not viable, we provide sanctuary so that horses in need still have a safe space to live out their lives in as close to their natural way of life as possible.
Our farm is a non-traditional “ranch" where the horses are tools. Instead, they ARE our purpose. We thrive on the non-verbal communication that these horses teach us. We are open to trying whatever works using gentle hands and loving hearts.
We are not a fancy show barn, we are a working family that cares about our horses. In our work with people, we are flexible and try to accommodate the special needs of all clients from the weekend warrior to the experienced equestrian who's up to learning something new. High risk youth, groups, or private families are welcomed on a case by case basis and they will learn the concepts of hard work and compassion. Their self esteem will improve and they will be beaming with pride.
